I can't currently try with a more recent Android version phone but I did try with the Bluestacks emulator which emulates Android 7 and the Swiftkey keyboard still works as intended there so I suspect this might be related with the Android version. When something like that happens I always think that something behind the scenes crashed.) To me (at least as far as stickers are concerned) it sounds like something is crashing when it tries to render the stickers "buttons" on the screen. Users on Android versions older than Android 8 will not be able to download versions 4.0.0 and later or 3.x.x from the Play Store. Sometimes they do but with the notable exception of the "Close sticker preview" which never ever appears. As you may know, BlueStacks is currently running Android 7.1.2, and these games are unfortunately not compatible. My backup phone has a much older Android version (6) than my broken daily driver (9, ie Pie) and I am wondering if this does not have something to do with it (ie that something that was recently changed in Swiftkey is no longer compatible with Android 6.įor the stickers most of the time the "Close sticker preview", "Save sticker to collection" and "Add text to the sticker" button do no appear.
